Amman, June 29 (Petra) – The Information Technology Department at Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) has been awarded the globally recognized ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS), granted by TUV Austria.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the company said the certification reflects its successful implementation of a comprehensive framework for information security governance, aimed at protecting data and systems from cyber threats and operational risks, while boosting internal operational efficiency in line with global best practices.

Chairman of the Board Mohammad Thneibat hailed the achievement as a new milestone in the company’s track record of institutional excellence, complementing its broader successes across various operational domains. He emphasized JPMC’s ongoing commitment to integrating advanced technologies into its operations and continuously improving them to meet the highest international standards.

Thneibat added that the certification underscores the company’s dedication to digital governance, data protection, and cybersecurity in ways that align with global technological advancements and support business continuity and operational excellence.

JPMC CEO Abdel Wahab Al-Rawad described the certification as a key step in strengthening the company’s information security management. He praised the efforts of the IT department and all employees for contributing to this achievement.

He noted that JPMC is prioritizing the enhancement of its digital infrastructure, reflecting its firm commitment to robust cybersecurity and business resilience.
