  • Environment:

Environmental protection is one of the primary objectives that the Industrial Complex strives to achieve in alignment with defined local and international standards. The complex is committed to leveraging advanced technological developments globally and integrating them within its operations.

The Industrial Complex prioritizes preserving various environmental elements within its premises and surrounding areas, conserving natural resources such as water and air, optimizing the use of these resources, and safeguarding the unique marine environment in the Gulf of Aqaba, particularly its coral reefs.

To minimize carbon emissions, the Industrial Complex has converted all furnaces and steam boilers from using heavy fuel oil and diesel to natural gas (L.N.G).

The complex also adheres to sustainability policies in line with royal directives to balance environmental preservation and production. The Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) plays a significant role in expanding green spaces, completing 50% of the Greenification of Gypsum Mountain project, with plans to achieve 100% coverage in the future.

As a result of implementing global best practices and ensuring compliance with international environmental systems, the Industrial Complex has obtained the ISO 14001 certification for Environmental Management Systems.

Maintaining occupational safety and health stands at the forefront of priorities for the Industrial Complex. By implementing occupational safety and health systems and regulations, as well as raising employee awareness, a safe working environment is achieved.

The Occupational Safety and Health Management System includes guidelines that enable the achievement of the following commitments:

  • Commitment to Safe Working Conditions: Ensuring safe working conditions and an appropriate environment by adhering to occupational safety, health, and environmental laws and regulations.
